Train
Teach NEXIE foundations and approved learning within authorised use rights.
Become a NEXIE Practitioner
NEXIE Practitioners learn how to use the NEXIE Method to understand changing capacity, strengthen protective conditions, respond more safely, support relational repair and evaluate what helps.
Professional use must always sit within the practitioner's independent qualifications, role, competence, governance and authorised NEXIE use rights.
Understanding Before Intervention.
Professional capability
A NEXIE Practitioner is trained to use PEDICure: Prevention → Education → Detection → Intervention → Correction.
They apply this architecture within appropriate educational, community, workplace, developmental or professional contexts.
The practitioner does not become the expert on the person. The practitioner helps create a structured process for understanding what is happening and what should happen next.
Teach NEXIE foundations and approved learning within authorised use rights.
Guide structured reflection, discussion, planning and application.
Help a family, education setting, team or organisation apply NEXIE in practice.
Help people identify what is happening, what may influence capacity and what supports may help.
Provide within-scope NEXIE-informed guidance where qualifications and role permit.
Review what changed, what helped and what should be adjusted.
Recognise when concerns exceed scope and connect people with qualified support.
Professional capability includes knowing when not to proceed alone.
The NEXIE capability model
The NEXIE philosophy, process, PEDICure, trauma-informed principles, capacity in context, Detection, Six Rs, protective conditions, planning, evaluation and referral boundaries.
The independent qualifications, experience and competence needed for teaching, early childhood, education support, counselling, allied health, community services, leadership, human resources, disability support or another field.
NEXIE training does not replace field qualifications or professional competence.Needed only for an independent business: customer discovery, service design, planning, pricing, governance, insurance, marketing, contracts, ethical boundaries and commercial licensing.
It is not required simply to use NEXIE appropriately in an existing employed role.NEXIE Practitioner
Uses NEXIE within an appropriate existing or professional role in education, early childhood, community services, workplaces, family support, professional practice or organisations.
Neuropreneur
A NEXIE Practitioner who chooses to create an independent enterprise and adds customer validation, business capability, service design, commercial model, licensing, launch and impact measurement.
Explore the Neuropreneur Pathway ↗Not every NEXIE Practitioner needs a business. A Neuropreneur is simply one possible pathway.
Shared professional foundation
Practitioners use PEDICure: Prevention → Education → Detection → Intervention → Correction. Relational repair uses the canonical Six Rs.
This page focuses on the practitioner role and entry requirements. The complete method and repair architecture are explained separately.
Understand How NEXIE Works ↗Practitioners learn that adversity and stress may affect capacity. They do not diagnose trauma from behaviour, investigate trauma histories simply because NEXIE is trauma-informed, or provide trauma therapy unless independently qualified and authorised.
We do not need to know everything that happened to someone to choose a safer response.
Know your role
Authority comes from qualification, registration where applicable, role, competence, experience, supervision, organisational governance and legal and ethical obligations.
NEXIE training adds a method. It does not create independent clinical, legal or regulated professional authority.
NEXIE capability complements field capability. It does not replace it.
Refer, escalate or seek specialist input when concerns involve significant distress, risk of harm, safeguarding, clinical mental health, physical health, complex developmental concerns, diagnostic assessment, legal matters, crisis or needs outside practitioner competence.
Referral is not failure. It is part of responsible intervention.

In development

The digital layer should support practitioner judgement—not replace it.
Possible learners may include appropriately situated early childhood educators, teachers, education support staff, community workers, disability support professionals, developmental educators, allied professionals, managers, leaders, workplace learning professionals, facilitators and founders.
Eligibility for particular professional or commercial applications may vary according to field, qualification and scope.
